This new V3 electric trunk can be opened via the standard tailgate button, the touchscreen, and the Tesla app. To close, "press" the same button again. Compared to the V2 version, V3 has a softer and quieter operation. You will also be warned if you want to drive the car with the trunk open.

• Must have addition to Model 3 - Tesla doesn't equip power liftgate on Model 3. The Tesla App/key fob/touch screen is great for opening the trunk remotely. But when the trunk hatch opens, it opens just a crack. You know the feeling when someone holds the door open for you? It’s nice, especially when your hands are full. If you’re packing groceries, hauling tools, or gearing up for a road trip, then you definitely have your hands full—you need immediate cargo area access.
• Smart and intelligent design - With a power liftgate, your car opens and closes the door for you, like your very own doorman. You can adjust the opening height of your liftgate on the Model 3 which is worth keeping in mind if you park somewhere with a low ceiling or lower garage.
• Installation guide available - Installation guide is available if you want to install on your own. SPAR would recommend you to ask for professional installer.
